Team Netherlands is under investigation. IP addresses are linked to 1 Estonian player and 1 BoB player. Both are using different nicks than in this tournament.

I want exact names, facebook profiles or some other evidences that this team is not "shadow team".

IP addresses are now located to 3x Estonia and 1x Finland. So there is nothing that connects any of that team members to Holland in any way.

Team "Netherlands" is now rejected from the tournament. Newly calculated results for League III will be presented tomorrow.

It was not the first time in the history of Propilkki, when some teams are connected with playing "dirty". I think that this was a new record in it incolence.

I am waiting for official response from those players now.

Oh That is so dirty. Tournament hour is so hard for us. So just woke up and checked e-mail.
Why are these "noobies" disturbed our tournament. What should we do now. Please give us official statement. Thank you Mikko.

Situation is changing quickly. When ALL "Netherlands" results are removed, it looks like Team Ukraine may be going to finals.. we need to re-re-check these calculations once again.

Yes. We understand that . After this happened We already calculated that and see the tournament rule. But rule don't have anything of that.

These fake players all influenced in all circumstances. For example fishing position etc...

What should we follow now?

I totally agree with you that those fake players had effect on gameplay. One thing is sure that Latvia won that League I.

I have to discuss with people and see the final points etc..

Currently there are two possibilities that I am considering:

1) Based on current points, Ukraine is 2nd and goes to finals

2) If there is no clear difference between Mongolia and Ukraine, it is fair that there is rematch between these two teams and winner goes to finals.

Yes we agree that Latvia won .  If Ukraine which is one of the best team in Propilkki would accept, we can arrange the game for the clear result. For our players and fans spent one whole night on this game, they would like to feel it fair .

I have to discuss about it.

In the light of these results:

Ukraine   5   13   12   19   total 49
Mongolia   24   7   8   6   total 45

..it looks like Ukraine has been more succesful at 3 maps out of 4. Instead, Mongolia won the 1st map clearly, but was weaker at the last three. This result needs to be discussed and decision is given later this day or tomorrow. Please follow this thread.

Below is presented a new calculation of points for League 1 of the World Championships. Points are multiplied by 0.75 (3/4 as "Team Netherlands" were not what was told) and points of Team Mongolia and Team Ukraine are then compared with each other.

New points with Team Netherlands scores:

Team Ukraine:
Cousen 13,5
1sergey 3,75
Raven 3
jonson 5,25
SUM= 25,5

Team Mongolia:
Tuvshuu 8,25
Babur 8,25
nasaa mgl 2,25
Tumur 9
SUM= 27,75

Without Team Netherlands:

Team Ukraine:
Cousen: 17,25
jonson:9
Raven:4,5
1sergey:6
SUM:36,75

Team Mongolia:
Tuvshuu:9
Babuur: 10,5
nasaa mgl: 3,75
Tumur 10,5
SUM = 33,75

Then comparison of points:

Team Mongolia's scores first:
(27,75 / 25,5 ) - (33,75 / 36,75)=

1,078431373- 0,91836735 = 0,169867947

Team Ukraines scores first:
(36,75 / 33,75) -(25,5 / 27,75) =
1,088888889 -0,9272727273=  0,16996997

Number in red shows that when noting both ways to count points, but ignoring Team Netherlands points equally in both cases, Team Ukraine's performance was a little better. Margin is pretty small.

Good luck to both teams.

This problem occurred because of fake gamers(NLD).  And there are no clear rule for this situation such as if this kind of problem happened, how the organizers calculate results... We are connected 30 minutes before the match, there were time for checking all IP addresses.
Therefore Mongolian team prefer play with UKR for clear results instead of irregular decision and rematch all league game.
We would not regret for losing. We would not brag for luckily winning.
Hope you decision would be wise...
Peace and Fair play.

LITTLE CORRECTION

We are connected 30 minutes before the match, there were time for checking all IP addresses.

Actually IP address checking using several tools and databases take more time than 30 minutes from all players. Moreover, not all players are online immediately. You have to remember that all qualification rounds were played simultaneously, which means that there was 12 x 4 players to be checked. 30minutes means less than 1 minute / each player. Hosts are not able to use same databases that game authors can use, which limits this work to me only.

Next year this whole system will be different. I have good plans for getting rid of cheating. These rules will be tougher, but c'mon.. this is world championship tournament and there is no room for playing dirty at all.

After considering this situation I have made my decision, which is final and there is no possibilty to complain about it. This will be extraordinary decision, but the whole picture needs to be understood. I also want to keep this tournament as the most "fair play" tournament that there exists. Therefore, this kind of gesture is now made.

There will be 7 teams playing at the finals this year. Both Mongolia and Ukraine are welcome to play at finals. Both teams collected nearly same amount of points, so there is no place to make artificial separation between them. I understand that Ukraine wants to keep their "higher amount of points" as a ticket to finals. I also understand that Mongolia may have collect more points, if there were not fake"netherlands" on ice.

The game allows easily matches with 30 players. 7 teams means 4x7+host+referee = 30 players.

I will change final maps to bigger ones, so there is room for all players to find hot spots and catch fishes.

Thank you and good luck!

I believe the right decision.
But, the NLD won fairly, is there any difference from what place they played. For example, I play for Belarus , and I live in Russia , and there are many in the national team.
I organize tournaments and spend them. Sometimes teams 30-33 , 12-16 people each , no matter from which country the player , above the honor of the flag it protects, for one reason or another
Although Mikko knows best :).

Sincerely. Ivan (Zoom)

Fake-"Netherlands" did not won fairly at all. I understand your point of views, because people can live in other country, but their home country is still some other. It is not a problem at all.

But.. this fake-team "The Netherlands" consists of 3 Estonian and 1 Finnish player, based on their IP addresses. I am 100% sure that they were not Dutch, none of them. 2 of them was directly linked to nicks that have been playing in Estonian teams, other even in World Championships earlier in Team Estonia. This tournament is for national teams only, not for "friend team" etc. There are several other possibilities for them to play in other tournaments.

Identity theft is a crime in Finland. This law was activated last fall. Team Netherlands captain created a fake name, e-mail and even used some facial photo in its profile. Therefore it is possible that team captain even break the law during this episode.

One and last reason for rejecting team out of the tournament was the fact that team that was linked to this fake-Netherlands has been collaborating with a Finnish player that has been banned out of all Pro Pilkki II tournaments played under this site. There is high possibility that the Finnish player may be that banned player. However, it is not sure or confirmed anyway, but it is suspicious that there is that old connection. This was not the reason for rejecting from tournament, but it was "a last nail to coffin".

Drilling takes 4 minutes delay.

I am sorry for the complain . Ping is low, Bandwidth is good.  No idea of this lag.

Maybe next year we should make some tunneling...

It's impossible to play in this situation.
Maybe it is because of our location or some other ussue.
It is a honour to play in world championship final for Mongolians.
Thank you for all organizers, hosts and other teams.
See you in next WC.

Yes, it is sad that sometimes internet is just not working. However, there were 7 teams playing and 6 out of 7 were not facing problems. So, it may limit the problem to local internet and some interruption down there. These are situations that cannot be forecast and therefore impossible to prevent. I hope that next year there will be better luck with these. Thank you for joining and playing.

Unofficial results:

  1. LTU    47     Gold medal (2 wins)
  2. LVA    47     Silver medal (1 win)
  3. BLR    26    Bronze medal
  4. FIN    23
  5. UKR    17
  6. RUS     0
  7. MNG     0    (quit because of very bad ping)

So it looks like we have new gold medalist in World Championship tournaments of Propilkki 2.

We are waiting for possible protests (30mins) and then official results calculated by -heikki- & Kharon.

Thanks to all teams, this has been wonderful tournament and exciting matches.
