Saimaa lake fishing
« on: November 14, 2017, 20:31:44 »
Hi, can anyone explain to me what do i need to do to fish on Saimaa lake in february (i am renting house on Laamalansaari) . I only want to ice fish, are there any special permits that i need and anything like that. https://kalastusrajoitus.fi/ is bit too complicated for me to fully understand. I see there are some red spots on the lake and rest is some other color.  So anyone have info about rules i need to follow there.

You`ll have to narrow it down on some way, maybe give the county or "kunta" in finnish or maybe the adress code for whoever rented the cabin.

Too big area just to find on map. or you can just ask them if there is any special restrcitions?

Seems like there are not any restrictions or special permits needed for ice fishing, nearest red zone is about 15 km east of cabins.
Also rivers on parta-and kärnäkoski are off-limits, im pretty sure that they stay open during winter.

If everything else fails theres a rockpile that is quite a good spot for large perch.
