Pro Pilkki 2 version 2.0.5 has been released for both Android and iOS devices, it will be available in couple of days, after the review process completes. The update introduces two new lakes (Ruippo and Rönttäoja) as well as an entirely new game mode: flag rod online competitions. This mode involves setting flag rods on the ice, and the player who catches the most fish within the competition time wins. It is a hybrid between single-player and online play: the fishing itself is single-player, but the competition lake, time, and leader board are shared globally. The time of day on the lake follows real-world time. The flag rod competitions require a PP2 network records account. Players can also participate with one flag rod using the free version of the game (Google Play, AppStore).
The new lakes will be added to the PC and Linux host versions later, meaning that for now, they can only be played in single-player mode or in local network games on mobile devices. Fish caught in these new lakes will not yet count toward online records at this stage. The update also includes minor fixes and small system updates required for iOS and Android.
